Every child has a unique story. Threadline helps connect the pieces, supporting children and families with clarity, confidence, and connection.

Welcome to Threadline.

Threadline Psychological & Educational Services, PLLC is a practice in Concord Center dedicated to supporting the educational, social, and emotional growth of children and adolescents.

Founded by Lara D. Urso, an Educational Psychologist with 20 years of experience, Threadline provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and evidence-based Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) enrichment designed to help children better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and thrive.

After working with students from preschool through high school, I have seen firsthand that every child learns differently, experiences the world in their own unique way, and possesses strengths that deserve to be recognized and nurtured. Whether I am partnering with families through a comprehensive evaluation or leading an engaging SEL enrichment group, my goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized support that helps children build confidence, develop essential life skills, and reach their full potential.

At Threadline, I believe that understanding a child's unique profile is the first step toward helping them grow with confidence, resilience, and success at school, at home, and beyond.

How I Can Help

Psychoeducational Evaluations

Is your child struggling in school, having difficulty keeping up despite support, or showing a gap between what you know they can do and what you’re seeing at school?

A comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation can help uncover why learning may feel harder than it should and provide a clearer understanding of how your child learns and functions.

I provide individualized evaluations that assess areas including:

Learning and academic skills — reading, writing, and math
Attention and ADHD
Executive functioning — organization, planning, working memory, task initiation, and self-management
Cognitive abilities and learning profile
Social-emotional and behavioral factors that may affect learning
Specific learning disorders, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia

Each evaluation is tailored to the questions and concerns of the child and family. When appropriate, evaluations can provide formal diagnoses, along with clear, practical recommendations to guide support at school, at home, and beyond.

Helping families gain clarity, understand the bigger picture, and find a path forward.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Enrichment Groups

Small-group experiences that help children:

  • Build confidence and self-awareness

  • Develop healthy friendships and communication skills

  • Strengthen emotional regulation and resilience

  • Practice problem-solving and flexible thinking

  • Grow independence and self-advocacy

  • Connect with peers in a supportive, engaging environment

Because every child and adolescent deserves opportunities to understand themselves, build meaningful relationships, and thrive.
